Who's who?

Will Stockdale MCSP HCPC Reg
Will Stockdale is the Clinical Director at Sandbach Physiotherapy and Sports Injury Clinic. Will qualified in 2002 and since then has worked in 3 private practices in the North West. Will enjoys all aspects of clinical life, not only offering the highest level of service to his patients, but also mentoring his team to ensure his high standards are practised throughout the clinic. Will is obviously HCPC registered, in addition to being a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapists and the Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists. Will still just about manages to play rugby for Sandbach RUFC when his body lets him!

Bernadette Oakes MCSP SRP Diprg RT AACP
Bernie, originally from Hertfordshire, trained as a remedial gymnast (sports rehabilitator) at the University Hospital of Wales in Cardiff; graduating in 1985. In the same year she did a conversion course in physiotherapy and was accepted into the chartered society of physiotherapy. Since then she also worked in Margate and Kent where she worked in orthopaedics. From there she moved to Colchester in Essex where she worked in orthopaedics, out patients, obstetrics, gynaecology and community physiotherapy. In 1989 she began to work at the Nuffield Private Hospital in Newcastle-under-Lyme, and then onto Leighton Hospital, working in outpatients. In 1990 she began her 10 year post as head Physiotherapist for Crewe Alexandra FC, leaving to start Sandbach Physiotherapy and Sports Injury Clinic in 2000.
She is a member of the Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists, as well as being a member of the Health Profession Council and the Chartered Society of Physiotherapists.
Bernie specialises in sports injuries (both adults and children), cervical headaches, acupuncture and all orthopaedic problems (especially lower limbs).
Outside of work Bernie enjoys walking and keeping fit.

Liam Joyce MCSP HCPC Reg
Liam graduated from Keele University in 2014 and started his career working at East Cheshire NHS. Here he developed his Physiotherapy across a wide spectrum of areas including Orthopaedics, Amputee Rehab, Rheumatology, Paediatrics, Neurology & Musculoskeletal Outpatients.
After deciding he wanted to pursue a career in Musculoskeletal Outpatients he now works in the NHS as a Specialist Physio in this area. To enhance his treatments he has recently completed courses in Strength & Conditioning, Rehab in Paediatrics and Pilates. Liam is HCPC registered and a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapists. Liam works at Sandbach Physio on Saturday mornings.
Rebecca Gilmartin MCSP ACPAT A. HCPC Reg.
Physiotherapist
Becky qualified in 2014 from Salford University with a First-Class Honours degree in physiotherapy.
After entering the NHS, Rebecca went on to specialise in physiotherapy in adults with profound intellectual and multiple disabilities. She then studied a Masters in Veterinary Physiotherapy at the University of Liverpool achieving a distinction.
In addition to her musculoskeletal work here at Sandbach Physio, Rebecca also specialises in the treatment of horse riders with additional training in rider biomechanics and Pilates for horse riders as well as horses.
Becky joined us in 2019 and has been an invaluable member of the team ever since. Her hobbies include campervanning, travel and walking with her Bulgarian rescue dogs.

Adam Keeble MCSP HCPC Reg.
Physiotherapist
Adam qualified in 2018 from the University of Birmingham with BSc (Hons.) in physiotherapy.
Adam specialises in MSK physiotherapy, sports massage and has a special interest in return to sports rehabilitation, particularly after ACL reconstruction.
Adam Started at Sandbach Physio in 2022 and now works at both the Sandbach and Middlewich Clinic.
In his leisure time he enjoys football and golf.
Serena Proctor MCSP HCPC Reg.
Physiotherapist
Serena qualified as a physiotherapist in 2007 from Keele University.
Serena has vast experience in the treatment of musculoskeletal conditions, post operative rehabilitation and women’s health. Serena has continued to pursue the interest with women’s health and works with incontinence issues and pelvic weakness and pain. She is a qualified Mummy MOT practitioner and has led all the women’s health care at the clinic since she joined us in 2023.

Serenas hobbies are her horses and her family and follows rugby with her son.

Claire Ryan BSc (Hons.) GSR
Sports Rehabilitator
Claire has always had a passion for sport and exercise which has led her to pursue a career in healthcare. She studied BSc in Sports Rehabilitation and Athletic Therapy and graduated in 2014 from the Institute of Technology in Carlow Ireland.
Prior to joining Sandbach Physio, Claire worked extensively in London in private practice and has also had experience working in Ireland with sports teams including Salthill Devon F.C and in the UK with several Gaelic Football, hurling and Rugby teams.
Her experience in London has included both the treatment and rehabilitation of musculoskeletal patients and adults and children with neurological conditions.She has gained valuable experiences in using the State of the Art Alter-G anti-gravity treadmill and has extensive experience rehabilitating patients in a hydrotherapy setting.
Whilst working in her field she has gained special interest in the treatment and rehabilitation of highly complex conditions and chronic pain.
Claire joined the team in 2023 and now works in both the Sandbach and Middlewich Clinics.
Her hobbies include the gym, playing sport, playing and listening to music.
